Compassionate Ministries

This December, we are thinking, acting and praying for those around us who are in need of God's amazing love. We have two projects for this month to help us meet our mission of sharing Christ's love:

Operation Christmas Child

In November, we collected shoeboxes filled with toys and goodies to be sent to children in need all over the world in time for Christmas. Though we are no longer collecting these boxes (as of November 24th), please be sure to pray for the children who will receive these special boxes and hope they may be reminded of Christ's unending love for them. For many, this may be the first time they have knowledge of His love and gift of salvation. We thank you for your efforts as we collectively work as His Church to share the Good News and great joy we have in our Lord and Savior, Jesus!

Foster Family Christmas Party

On Saturday, December 7th from 1:00-3:00pm, we are going to share some cheer with our local foster families to let them know how much they are loved and how much we care about them with a special Christmas party just for them. As a community, we are providing pre-baked sugar cookies for decorating, crafts and activities. Please be sure to pray for these special families and their children. Thank you to everyone who has worked to make this a wonderful event.

{Sunday, December 22nd @ 7:30am - 9:00am}

In the Fellowship Hall

Bring the family! Join us every 4th Sunday morning for pancakes and breakfast! Let us do all the cooking! Donations will go towards our Missions and Children's Ministries. Suggested donation: $5 per person / $20 per family of 5 or more.

Every last Monday of the month, RCNAZ Missions is helping those in  need to get their laundry cleaned at the local laundromat. Every human being deserves clean clothes and that shows each person has tremendous worth.

With this project, we are stepping out in faith locally to share the love of Christ by helping our neighbors. Also through this, we have found a wonderful opportunity to build meaningful relationships in our community.

We invite our church members and citizens of Ridgecrest to share in this wonderful giving. We are in need of volunteers, donations for washing, soap and dryer sheets. Let get this ministry going! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Church Office: 760 - 375 - 4433.

If you know someone or are in need of help getting laundry washed, please see us every last Monday of the month @ 7:00am - 10:00am (last load at 9:00am) at the I Wash laundry on Norma St. in Ridgecrest.

You can help us buy washes and soap! Please look for the Laundry Love donation jar at the Welcome Center or donate online below.

LINKS stands for "Loving, Interested, Nazarene, Knowing & Sharing. Every two or three years we adopt a new Nazarene missionary as part of our church family. We send birthday and holiday cards and gifts to let them know we are praying for them and thinking about them all year.

Our LINKS Missionary, Charles Gates, has gone to be with our Father recently. Please pray for his family. Also, please pray for who we will receive next as our LINKS missionary.

Get involved with Missions! Here's how:

Want to be involved in our Missions projects or our community outreach? You are invited to attend any of our events or meetings!

Attend a Missions Council Meeting - Join us every 2nd Saturday of the Month @ 9:00am in the library at RCNAZ. Hear what we are doing, volunteer, or share your project or ideas (dates subject to change). Please email our RCNAZ NMI President for next meeting date or for more information, Beth McCain: info@rcnazarene.org

Look for our "Mission of the Month" announcements during 10:30am services and in the church bulletin - Every month, we will speak and invite church attendees to share, participate, or give to our monthly activities and projects. If you are interested in being involved with Missions, be sure to inquire with one of our Missions team members or email info@rcnazarene.org

What do Missions volunteers do? Our Missions volunteers share their time in a variety of collective works such as: coordinating efforts within the community and church to make great changes locally and worldwide; organizing, packing, and shipping items in need to be received at specific destinations;  organizing community Missions events and fundraisers; educating the community about our projects and world needs; donating and receiving items in need; providing meals or supplies to people in need, and so much more. There really is no end to the possibilities of what we can accomplish for God's Kingdom together.

We cherish working with others as a team, who have caring hearts like ours, and truly enjoy being God's hands and feet in the world.  There are no obligations: you can help with one project of your interest or share in many! If Missions sounds like something for you, be the change you want to see in the world and contact us at RCNAZ today!
